Alien Girl

Finally finished it. I've been working on this one slowly (and I mean slowly) since early December last year. Finally finished it today so I'd thought I'd share.

This one is a gift for my girlfriend, who the girl in the painting is loosely based off <3. This went through alot of different stages before it got to this point. Originally the mask was going to be something similar to Japanese Kabuki masks. Then I had an idea to do it as a masquerade mask. Nothing really stuck so it sat there for a few months, half completed, till just a few weeks ago when I had an idea to incorporate alien crop circles into the design. My brainstorming spawned these two concepts::

which I thought would work great for this particular painting. So this is the result.

The crop circle designs and the girl's piercings are done using a silver paint marker, although the photo doesn't really show this very well I did try and get the gleam of the silver to show.

Painted in acrylic paint, outlines in black vivid marker and a bit of silver marker here and there.
