Thought it was about time I drew a character from 'Futurama'. Especially since I picked up the forth season the other day and am in the middle of watching it.
Leela is probably my favourite character (followed very closely by Zoidberg) so I decided to draw her. Turned out a bit different with what I originally had in mind but I prefer this final one over my original idea anyhoo.
Drawn with an HB mechanical pencil, inked with a 0.5 fibre tipped pen and coloured using Photoshop 7.0.
Long live 'Futurama' and lets hope it'll return again in the future (no pun intended ^^ )
I love the line quality of your style. I had a lot of fun snooping around your gallery... so I apologize if you get a million "deddrie favorited blah blah" over and over.
Yeah, Futurama is great. I prefer it over the Simpsons, although both are good. I have all four seasons now. Just got to purchase the four movies and I'm complete ^^
Haha, thanks. You're welcome to snoop around my gallery anytime! Glad you like my work ^^
Speaking of the lines, I try to keep my lines simple. It's only been recently I've gone back to inking the outlines of my cartoons. For a while I was being lazy and just scanning in the pencil drawing, erasing the crap lines in photoshop and colouring it from there. I'm happy to say I've gone back to my old ways now ^^
Got some unscannable artwork? Own a camera but no scanner? Here's a guide of things to consider in order to effectively take quality photographs of your work. [A tutorial by `fox-orian]
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
